CCSA’s Back-to School Program Coming Soon! Our program planners are already busy gearing up for this year’s program, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 21st at the Clairemont Service Center.

Your support of this year’s Back-to-School program will be a direct investment in a child’s life. The children who participate will each receive a backpack stuffed with essential school supplies to help them start back to school. Or begin school for the very first time, with feelings of confidence and many of the tools necessary to master the skills taught in the classroom.

We need your help!

Currently, we are registering children from families that receive services at CCSA as well as some families referred by “partner” agencies and schools in our area. Last year, nearly 400 children received backpacks and other school supplies from CCSA. We hope to have equal success this year. We will serve as many children as we are able to with the donations received.

To allow our staff adequate time to prepare for the distribution, CCSA has set a four week target period from Monday July 12th through Monday, August 9th to receive donations for this year’s program. Requested donations should be delivered to CCSA no later that Monday, August 9th, 2010.

Pursuant to CCSA policy: in the event funds received from any source or sources in response to solicitation for this year’s Back-to-School program exceed the financial requirements of the program, excess funds shall be added to CCSA’s general operating fund.

Financial Donations are needed to help CCSA purchase program supplies

3-ring binder notebooks

Spiral notebooks / folders

Packs of lined paper (not college ruled)

Pens, pencils & rulers

Colored pencils & washable colored markers

School (safety) scissors

Bottled glue and glue sticks

CCSA does not purchase gift cards but will accept donated gift cards for inclusion in the stuffed backpacks.
